Aaron Ramsey to join Juventus in summer on £36 million five-year deal
Wales international will join Serie A champions for free as he winds down his contract at Arsenal
Aaron Ramsey will end his 10-year association at Arsenal this summer after agreeing to join Italian champions Juventus on a five-year deal.
The Wales international has been in discussions with the Turin giants for several weeks after talks over a contract extension at Arsenal broke down late last year. He has been free to negotiate with foreign clubs since January 1 with his current contract due to expire on June 30.
It is understood Ramsey will undergo his medical in Turin in the coming days.
Although Ramsey has often struggled with injury problems, his signing will be seen as a shrewd piece of business for the serial Italian champions, who are nine points clear at the top of Serie A as they chase an eighth straight title.
The 28-year-old midfielder's deal with the Serie A club will reportedly net him around £140,000 a week (Dh658,000), which would put him ahead of established stars such as Paulo Dybala and Giorgio Chiellini but still some way behind Juve's best paid player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Juve manager Max Allegri would most likely look to use Ramsey in a three-man midfield alongside Miralem Pjanic and Blaise Matuidi.
Ramsey has made more than 250 appearances since joining the Gunners from Cardiff City in 2008, including 18 in the Premier League this term, scoring twice.
