Max Verstappen maintained Red Bull Racing's impressive form at the German Grand Prix as he was quickest in second practice for Sunday's race.
It had been the Dutchman's teammate Daniel Ricciardo who had set the fastest time in the morning session and Verstappen kept the Austrian team's form up as his time of 1 minute, 13.085 seconds proved to good for the rest of the field.
World champion Lewis Hamilton was 0.026 seconds behind in second, ahead of teammate Valtteri Bottas.
Championship leader Sebastian Vettel was fourth in his Ferrari, with teammate Kimi Raikkonen completing a top five that was covered by only 0.3 seconds.
Ricciardo, having topped the times in the first session, spun in the afternoon as he was only 13th quickest.
The Australian as he is set to start the race from the back of the grid.
The FIA announced before the start of practice that Red Bull had changed the MGU-K (kinetic motor generator unit), energy store and control electronics on his car.
All the changes breach the regulations governing how many elements a driver can use during a season and trigger automatic penalties.
Qualifying is on Saturday from 5pm, while Sunday's race, the 11th round of the season, kicks off at 5.10pm.
