With reference to The National’s editorial Recycling is no longer optional, but necessary (January 28): It was a treat to read an article that so elaborately highlighted the concept of waste management. People must learn the importance of this.

Where there is rain there is likely to be the bother of mosquito bites
With regards to Gillian Duncan’s report UAE residents being ‘eaten alive’ by surge in mosquitoes (January 27): we have them on Yas. I believe it’s from lack of drainage on the sidewalk areas and broken watering hoses that create puddles.

Tiger balm is quite effective to keep them away. Also good to put on insect bites in general to make them heal quicker. Don’t know if there’s scientific proof for it, just according to personal experience.
