Filipino Folk Duo
The Fridge Concert Series continues with a performance by Nowhere Birds, an indie-folk duo from the Philippines. Jules Suarez and Mitchiko Bagayna will launch their five-song EP, which includes the single River Running Fire. The evening starts with a singer-songwriter showcase of established and emerging artists and food truck Hot Boxx will cook up burgers, fries and hot dogs.

Light show
Visit Downtown Dubai, where Emaar continues its Light Up 2018 spectacle, which won a Guinness World Records title for the largest light and sound show on a single building. Staged on Burj Khalifa, the laser display launched on New Year’s Eve and will now run on Tuesdays to Saturdays until the end of March. A highlight of the show is the tribute to Sheikh Zayed, Founding President of the UAE, to coincide with 2018 as the Year of Zayed.

Korean film
Cinema Space and the Korean Cultural Centre present Seopyeonje (The Southerner's Songs), a 1993 Korean film with English subtitles directed by Im Kwon-taek. The film tells the story of Dong-Ho, a pansori (folk-blues) singer, who roams the countryside looking for the orphan girl, Song-hwa, he grew up with. The film also examines western influence on Korean culture.

Relay race
Register a team of 10 runners to take part in the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay, in which Dubai’s businesses will compete to be “fastest firm in the city”. Each entrant runs a one-mile (1.6-kilometre) route around the Gate Building at DIFC and hands the baton to a teammate. The team with the fastest time for 10 laps wins. There is also a Race Village. The relay is part of a global series of events taking place in financial districts around the world.
