The Entertainer, that bastion of the financially prudent in 15 countries around the world, will be unveiling its new products and incentives this week for 2018. And after buckling book shelves for the past 16 years, it’s going completely digital.

Available to purchase from October 25, the Entertainer will itself be discounted by Dh100 until November 30, exclusively through the company’s smartphone app which, it is claimed, offers combined savings of Dh3.2 million for users in the UAE with more than 7,200 individual offers.

“As we’ve transitioned from print to digital we’ve learnt so much about our customers and how they like to use the Entertainer,” remarks Donna Benton, who founded the discount publisher in Dubai during 2001. “The insights we get from app users means that we’ve been able to constantly adapt and improve our products based on their behaviours and preferences.”

Apart from a vast array of 2 for 1 offers, customers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai will also benefit from a new feature called Entertainer Getaways, an in-app booking service with special rates available for more than half a million hotels in 200-plus countries. Earlier this month the company launched its Entertainer Goods e-commerce website for UAE users, offering discounted clothing, sporting goods, electronics and jewellery.
