To the letter

The UK-based artist and designer Rory Dobner creates intricate paintings on brushed steel, original inks and homewares ranging from upscaled furniture to paperweights and mugs. His latest products include cuddly cat cushions, candles, heart tiles and gothic-looking plates emblazoned with masked skulls and smoking fish. There's an elaborate artistry to all his work, but we're coveting his Alphabet Intricate Inks Ceramic Tiles. Each letter has been decorated with a unique illustration and set on a white ceramic tile. They're great for gifts, or for spelling out words and hanging over the mantelpiece.

Opportunity knocks

When Jackie Kennedy moved into the White House, the first thing she replaced was the doorknobs, recognising that small changes can make a huge impact. She opted for products by Baldwin, one of the many premium doorware brands that will be available from The Metallic Equipment showroom when it opens in Dubai on Monday. The new space on Sheikh Zayed Road will offer brands such as Valli & Valli, Linea Cali, Viman and Fusital, as well as the quirky rococo-pop door handles by Enrico Cassina pictured here.

Market Days Bazaar

O'de Rose is hosting its second Market Days Bazaar on Monday and Tuesday. In addition to discounts on selected O'de Rose products, our favourite home and fashion boutique will showcase items by French brands such as Marie Stala, Artdecotek, 100% Attitude, Baraca, Poupette a la Plage and the Numa collection. Proceeds from the event will be donated to SOS Children's Village.

On the wall

We love Eco Wallpaper's new Eco Exclusive collection, now available from Kollektion & Co. The new range combines glossy metallic colours and velvety textures that catch the light in countless different ways. We're particularly enamoured with these white swans set against a sky blue background - just the thing for creating a striking feature wall.
