This basket combines Alessi's simple designs with the artist and sculptor Abi Alice's futuristic touch. Based in Sydney, Alice studied silver-smithing and began making tableware before expanding into photography and painting.
Her pieces for Alessi always combine geometry with abstract folding and form. The piece started off as a drawing then painting and finally transformed into a three-dimensional object to create what Alice termed "resonance".
