Cult New York-based burger joint Black Tap, which has enjoyed success at its two Dubai branches, will open in Abu Dhabi's Yas Mall in early July.

The brand has become particularly popular with Instagram users, who like to take gut-busting snaps of the "signature craft burgers" and the elaborate milkshake concoctions called CrazyShakes.

“Black Tap takes the classic American luncheonette, and puts our spin on it, with high-quality ingredients, 90s hip-hop pumping through the speakers, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere,” said Black Tap owner Joe Isidori.

Diners can expect all the crowd favourites from Black Tap’s New York and Dubai menus in the new unlicensed Abu Dhabi location, including the award-winning Greg Norman Burger with Wagyu beef and blue cheese, the classic All-American Burger and the all-natural Californian with turkey, avocado, Swiss cheese and truffle mayo.

Vegetarian options include a falafel burger and a vegan burger, crafted from a black bean patty, pickled onions, salsa verde, coriander and vegan mayo.

“Yas Mall is known as a hub of culinary innovation and entertainment, and Black Tap is a great brand to introduce to the Abu Dhabi market,” adds Elie Kanaan, Addmind Abu Dhabi’s Managing Partner. “When we partnered up with Sunset Hospitality, we understood the brand value of Black Tap and are confident that the community is going to love trying the New York style burgers and CrazyShakes, all modernised for the Instagram age.”
