Tiba, which translates to "kindness" in Arabic, is the brainchild of Dana Jaber and Rasha Abdelhadi. The fine-jewellery label launched during the 2014 Gaza War with gold necklaces depicting the borders of Palestine, set with diamonds. Part of the proceeds from sales were donated to provide medical aid to Palestinian children affected by the crisis.
The brand has since expanded, and now offers diamond pendants in the shapes of countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt. These are now available at Boutique 1 stores in Dubai.
Designs are available in yellow or rose gold, with maps bordered in plain gold, or encrusted with white or black diamonds. Customers can also order map necklaces in the shapes of other countries, and it will take 6 weeks to create these special orders.
Tiba necklaces are available at Boutique 1 in Mall of the Emirates, Yas Mall and online.
