Pups and pubs look set to make a winning combination in Dubai next month. The city's Reform Social and Grill has teamed up with Howl and Growl Pet Boutique for a special adoption day on Friday, April 19.
From 3pm until 7pm, a team of UAE non-profit organisations, including Umm Al Quwain Stray Dogs Centre, PARA UAE, Ahmed’s Rescues and 38 Smiles, will be coming together to help find forever homes for all the dogs that are currently up for adoption.
The British-style pub, located in The Lakes community, Dubai, has been dog friendly since December 2018. Since announcing that it now welcomes four-legged friends, the eatery has hosted special animal-accommodating events, including regular puppy Pilates classes.
The April 19 event doesn't end with adoptions. There will also be dog training sessions with Dog Tag's Mark McFadyen and The Veterinary Hospital will be on hand to answer any canine health queries. Plus, animal food company Furchild will be there to talk pooch nutrition.
Animal-centric entertainment aside, there will also be music from UAE-based band Sound of Nomads, fun and games for kids and a barbecued feast to tuck into.
