The Abu Dhabi City Municipality on Monday announced that 51 play areas and multi-purpose playgrounds in public and community parks across the city have been developed or upgraded.

Mini football grounds, multi-purpose playgrounds and areas for people of all ages and abilities have been installed. This also includes exercise equipment, water features, shaded hiking pathways, plus open spaces for recreation.

Energy-efficient lighting systems have also been used, and a whopping 11,500 square metres of area paved by "educational and fun rubber shapes" has been introduced.
