Brooklyn Beckham and American actress Nicola Peltz have announced their engagement.
Beckham, 21, son of retired football star David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, and Peltz, 25, both posted the news on their Instagram accounts Saturday.
“Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes," Beckham, wrote. “I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day.”
They posted the same picture of themselves standing in a field and embracing – he in a blue suit and Peltz in a yellow dress. The photo was taken by Beckham’s sister, Harper, 9.
Peltz said in her post: “You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side.”
Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham was among the first to publicly congratulate the pair, saying “we could not be happier” that the couple is getting married.
The couple have been together for nine months, and were spending lockdown together at Peltz’s home in the US, however, they recently returned to Beckham’s family home in the Cotswolds.
Brooklyn is the eldest of David and Victoria's four children, and is a keen photographer, having shot images for the likes of Vogue and Burberry.
Peltz's film credits include The Last Airbender and Transformers: Age of Extinction. She has also worked as a model for the likes of Alexander Wang.
