Dolce & Gabbana has launched its first abaya collection worldwide. While the brand’s new flagship apparel and accessories boutique in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates is expected to open in March or April this year, other outlets across the UAE will house D&G’s abayas and hijabs range by the end of January.

The collection presents flowing, ankle-length dresses in light desert shades as well as charcoal and classic black hues. Some pieces are embellished with motifs from D&G’s spring-summer 2016 collection, featuring prints of daisies, lemons, polka dots and red roses. The abayas are mostly lightweight georgette and silk-satin charmeuse, bearing D&G’s signature lace inserts and trims. To complete the look, coordinating hijabs and accessories are also now available at stores across the UAE.

In other news this month, Dolce & Gabbana flung wide the doors to a new children's boutique in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates. The store, which is divided into two retail spaces, covers 107 square metres and is home to the label's Baby and Newborn collections. The interior of the kiddie's boutique has a distinctly grown-up feel given its beige Evora stone floors, pearly white walls with cream velvet panels. See a picture gallery of the collection here.
