Prestige UAE car manufacturer W Motors showcased its complete collection of hypercars, electric models and its cutting-edge autonomous vehicle for the first time.

Alongside sister company Iconiq Motors, the company presented the range at the World Intelligence Congress in Tianjin in China.

The range on show also included the Iconiq Seven Generation 2, an electric people mover, as well as the hallmark Fenyr SuperSport production model and the Lykan HyperSport, which featured in the 2015's entry in The Fast and the Furious franchise, Furious 7.

The self-driving Muse vehicle was the centrepiece of the event, fresh from its unveiling at Auto Shanghai last month. Developed in collaboration with a team of partners, including AKKA Technologies, Magna Steyr and Microsoft USA, production of the vehicle will start in early 2023 in the UAE. A test fleet of ‘level 4’ vehicles (which means they’re fully autonomous and without steering wheels) is expected to be in operation for Dubai’s Expo 2020.

Also on show was the Ghiath Beast Patrol security vehicle that, along with the Muse, made an appearance in Abu Dhabi in February this year at Idex 2019. The car was built as part of a collaboration between Dubai Police and the Abu Dhabi-based Safe City Group, and they’ll be seen on the streets of the UAE’s biggest city later this year.

Founded in 2012 and based in Dubai, W Motors is the first developer of high-performance luxury sports cars in the Middle East.
