Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan recently enjoyed a visit to Abu Dhabi to attend a luxury wedding.
The 74-year-old actor turned out for the marriage of businessman Abhijit Rajan's daughter Anushka Rajan, alongside wife Jaya Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan, reported The Times of India. The families are said to be close.
Other celebrities reportedly in attendance were Sridevi, Sonali Bendre and Athiya Shetty. However Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was absent attending to her ailing father Krishnaraj Rai, said The Times.
It is understood the wedding took place sometime last month, but fresh images have only now come to light on social media. The Bachchan’s were photographed wearing traditional clothes, and shared their blessings with the newlyweds.
The Times of India described the ceremony as "truly an extravaganza".
Regarded as one of India’s greatest film icons, Bachchan’s various nicknames include the “Shahenshah of Bollywood”, “Star of the Millennium” and “Big B”. He has starred in more than 190 films during a five decade career.
