K-pop band Seventeen have arrived in Dubai and, as expected, social media has whipped itself into a frenzy about it.

Videos circulating online show the much-adored boy band arriving at Dubai International Airport late last night, with fans on hand to welcome them to the country.

Seventeen are here to lead the bill for the Korean Brand and Content Expo, being held until Friday, October 18, at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The three-day event is split into three parts: business and networking, exhibition and events and a K-pop concert. You can even see, feel and try Korean beauty, fashion and food products during the exhibition.

The event culminates in a concert on Thursday night, with Seventeen leading the bill, alongside fellow K-pop band SF9. Actress Ha Ji Won (Damo, Secret Garden) will also be in attendance to meet fans.

The expo is part of the UAE Korea Festival 2019, which encompasses several events over the next three weeks. Find our full guide to the event here.

Given that UAE fans have now been proven to be among the biggest K-pop lovers in the Mena region, social media has naturally been set alight at their arrival.

The hashtag #SeventeeninDubai is now trending, with many fans sharing clips of their arrival, or pleading for details of their whereabouts.

Despite their name, Seventeen consists of 13 members and is split into subgroups called the hip-hop, vocal and performance 'units.' They are known for their choreography, and huge hits amassed from three albums.
