The Hollywood actor Gerard Butler has revealed that he was once prepared to miss a flight just to meet his friend Priyanka Chopra while she was in the US.
Butler, who is about to hit cinema screens in the rom-com Playing For Keeps, said: "Last year, Priyanka was (in the US) and I was going out of town to a wedding. I stay in Malibu and she was coming to party at Malibu and I couldn't meet her. I was even thinking of missing the plane and going and saying hello because I hadn't seen her in a long time. But we are in touch all the time." The 43-year-old Butler joked: "I am still single because I am waiting for Priyanka Chopra." * IANS
SRK fears his daughter
If there is one person that superstar Shah Rukh Khan is scared of, it is his 12-year-old daughter Suhana. The actor says he often bows down to the whims of his youngest child.
"I never feel bad about any scolding that I get from kids. Even my kids at home keep scolding me. I feel bad when I break rules in India and my elders scold me.
"But at home, if I stay up really late at night or do a couple of things which irritates them, my daughter Suhana scolds me a lot and quite loudly at that," Shah Rukh revealed on the India's Prime Icon talk show.
"It is kind of scary because she is quite little, but her voice is very powerful when she is scolding me," he added. The actor also has a 15-year-old son named Aryan. * IANS
Lara Dutta plans return to moviemaking
Actress Lara Dutta says she will be back in the studio after celebrating her daughter Saira's first birthday on January 20.
Dutta has a small role in Bejoy Nambiar's new movie David, then after that she will return to acting full time.
"As soon as we are back from the Australian Open and Saira's first birthday celebration, I am back in the studios to start shooting a film," the 34-year-old said.
"I enjoy my work and I have always said that even motherhood or marriage is not going to slow me down. I enjoy my career, I have to reach places, I am thinking about new ventures. So it's all a part of the work and I love being back at work," she added.
Lara was last seen in Farhan Akhtar's Don 2, in which starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan. * IANS
Tashu Kaushik bounces back from Hindi film flop
The actress Tashu Kaushik considers herself fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work in southern Indian cinema, especially after an unsuccessful stint in Bollywood.
Her Hindi film debut was in Ram Gopal Varma's box office failure Darwaza Bandh Rakho. She has since gone on to star in many hit southern films. In fact, she is one of the few actresses who have worked in all the four southern language movies - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
"I feel blessed to have worked in all southern languages and I look forward to do more films. Cinema has been my greatest passion and I consider myself fortunate enough to be doing something I'm extremely passionate about," Tashu said.
She is soon to star in two Telugu films, Teluguabbai and Doola Seenu, and also completed another Malayalam movie.* IANS
Karan Johar guests at Moroccan film fest
Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar will be attending the Marrakech International Film Festival to see three of his films being shown there.
His 2001 drama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham will be screened on the opening night, and the event is also expected to be attended by the film's Amitabh Bachchan.
On December 2, two of Karan's latest projects, Agneepath and Student Of The Year, will be screened.
"It's a great tribute for the Indian film fraternity to be honoured at an international platform such as this. The fest also has a special emotional connect with me because my films... have a vast audience in Morocco," the 40-year-old said in a statement. * IANS
