DIFF reveals more films in Cinema of the World line-up

The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) has announced the second line-up of films in the Cinema of the World section for its 10th edition, which runs from December 6 to 14.
Fruitvale Station, a film by Ryan Coogler, won the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Produced by Forest Whitaker, it follows the true story of Oscar Grant (Michael B Jordan), a 22-year-old San Francisco Bay Area resident, who crosses paths with friends, enemies, family and strangers on the last day of 2008.
Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman star in The Railway Man, directed by Jonathan Teplitzky, based on the true story of a British soldier in the Second World War who was forced to work on the Thailand Death Railway after being captured by Japanese troops.
Walesa: Man of Hope, by the filmmaker Andrzej Wajda, Poland's candidate in the Academy Awards Foreign Language Film category, is a biopic on one of Poland's most famous and heroic men – Lech Walesa.
Other films include In Bloom (Georgia), directed by Nana Ekvtimishvili and Simon Gross, a coming-of-age drama about two young girls in post-Soviet Georgia; the Academy Award-winning filmmaker Errol Morris's documentary The Unknown Known, about the former US secretary of defence, Donald Rumsfeld; The Referee (L'arbitro) by the Italian filmmaker Paolo Zucca, a development of his earlier short film with the same title, which won the Prix Spécial du Jury at Clermont-Ferrand in 2009; and the Slovenian director Rok Bicek's debut feature Class Enemy – loosely based on real-life events at a high-school class that spins out of control. – The National staff
