Next week, in the watery city of Venice, a team from Dubai will be conducting the Safina Radio Project – a live art discussion platform on a boat traversing the canals.

Tonight, the precursor to that event takes place with Sadik Kwaish Alfraji, an Iraqi artist who lives and works in the Netherlands, in open conversation at the A4 space on Alserkal Avenue.

Alfraji's exhibition, Ali's Boat, is a deep and emotion filled personal journey as well as reflection on the human trait of escapism and is currently showing at Ayyam Gallery's Al Quoz branch (just across the street from A4).

Don’t miss Alfraji talking about his show and also opening the platform for discussion of themes and issues that connect with the Safina Radio Project, which will be curated by Anabelle de Gersigny, commissioned by Alserkal Avenue and will launch in Venice during the 56th Venice Biennale.
