Abu Dhabi road closures for ITU World Triathlon

ABU DHABI // Parts of the Abu Dhabi corniche will be closed on Friday and Saturday for the ITU World Triathlon.

Traffic authorities will close both sides of Abu Dhabi Theater Road, along the Breakwater, starting from the junction at the Marina Mall Ring Road until the Heritage Village, from midnight on Friday at until Saturday at 9pm.

On the day of the race, Saturday, motorists can expect Corniche Road inbound to Marina Mall to be closed from the Marina area to Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street, commonly known as Airport Road, from 2am to 7pm.

Traffic authorities have provided access to the race village in the Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club, as they have detoured the outbound Corniche Road connecting Abu Dhabi Island with the Marina area.

From 2am to 1pm on Saturday, Corniche Road will be closed starting from Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street (Airport Road) towards Saadiyat Island until Sheikh Khalifa Highway, next to the public slaughterhouse and the India Social and Cultural Centre.

The Corniche Road outbound to Zayed Port will remain open.
