A fire broke out at a tyre factory in Umm Al Quwain industrial area on Thursday afternoon.
Umm Al Quwain Civil Defence received a report at 5.30pm on Thursday about the blaze and rushed to the site in the Umm Al Thuoob industrial area.
Col Khamis Ibrahim, deputy director of the UAQ civil defence said no injuries were reported in the blaze.
“Civil defence teams managed to control the fire without injuries or casualties, and prevented it from spreading to other factories nearby,” said Col Ibrahim.
“The site has been cooled down and delivered to the competent authorities at UAQ police,” he added.
Investigations are still underway to identify the cause of the fire.
