A fire has broken out in a warehouse in a Sharjah industrial area, civil defence has said.
“The blaze was reported at about 12.25pm and civil defence teams from two stations are battling the fire," said Col Saeed Al Suwaidi, director of Sharjah Civil Defence.
“A man critically injured at the site of the fire and was transferred to hospital by National Ambulance."
Fire crews from fire stations in Al Samnan and Saja’a, were at the scene, at a warehouse containing scrap in industrial area 10, within three minutes of the report and are still tackling the blaze.
