After a bumper week of news about next year's Dubai Jazz Festival, RedFest DXB has upped the ante by announcing their first headliners for 2019. US rapper Macklemore and Cuban-American singer Camila Cabello will take to the stage for the event's second day on Friday February 15. English DJ and frequent Dubai visitor Jax Jones rounds out the line-up.

Having risen to fame as part of girl group Fifth Harmony, Camilla Cabello parted ways with the others in December 2016 to pursue a solo career. Her debut solo album went straight to number one in the Billboard charts, with catchy ear-worm Havana topping the charts across the globe.

In March, her former bandmates announced they were splitting up just days after performing in Abu Dhabi.

Grammy-winning rapper Macklemore will be returning to the Emirates after a four-year hiatus. He was here with Ryan Lewis in 2014 to play Yas Island's Du Arena, who he collaborated with on the multi-platinum-selling record The Heist, which earned them four Grammy awards.

RedFest DXB is no stranger to pulling in big names for their annual concert series. Last year saw Craig David, The Chainsmokers, Kesha, and Marshmello delight crowds at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

This year's event will be held on February 14 and 15, with day one's headliners to be announced on Thursday morning.

The event will sneak in a week earlier than the 2019 edition of Dubai Jazz Festival, which will be held between February 20 and 22, and is set to welcome Alicia Keys, Snow Patrol and Jamiroquai.
