WATCH: New Yorkers navigate extra security for UN General Assembly

With the United Nations General Assembly in full swing, New York has significantly ramped up security surrounding the Headquarters in Manhattan. And New Yorkers, though used to busy life in the city, have to bear the brunt as foot and auto traffic slows around the event.

How many resources does the city put into security? The National's Willy Lowry tells us with a tour down Fifth Avenue in the above video.
