WATCH: Fire and fury at Trump Tower

A fire has broken out at Trump Tower in New York City

A fire has broken out in US President Donald Trump's midtown Manhattan skyscraper.

Fire crews are responding to blaze at Trump Tower, NBC news reported that there are no injuries and the fire is thought to be under control.

Local media reports at least 4 fire engines on scene, and parts of 5th avenue, one of Manhattan's busiest streets, have been closed off.

The blaze comes just days after the release of the book Fire and Fury, a groundbreaking and controversial look inside the Trump administration.

Video footage from nearby buildings shows smoke billowing out of the building's top floor.

The 58 story building is home to Trump's personal office.
