World leaders and their delegations have gathered in New York before the opening of the 74th United Nations General Assembly on Monday, but who exactly will speak and when?

Each member state of the UN is granted the opportunity to speak for 15 minutes.

Here's a breakdown of some keynote speeches to look out for.

Tuesday, September 24

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres speaks first to deliver his report.

The President of the General Assembly, Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces, will also deliver a statement.

The first country to speak will be Brazil followed the US, Egypt, Turkey and Nigeria. Other speakers later in the day include Jordan, France, Morocco, Algeria and the UK.

Wednesday, September 25

The opening speech of the day comes from Ukraine. Watch out for speeches from Iraq and Iran shortly after in the morning.

There are also addresses from Lebanon, Australia, Libya, Ireland and Kuwait throughout the day.

Thursday, September 26

One of the first countries to take the marble stand is Yemen to be followed shortly after by Palestine and the EU representatives.

Somalia and South Sudan follow in the afternoon, as does Indonesia, Ethiopia and Spain.

Friday, September 27

Israel has been assigned an early slot on Friday but  Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not feature. He has cancelled his trip to deal with Israel's political stalemate after elections.

Other big names to look out for are Italy, Pakistan, China and Russia.

Sudan gets its chance to make its mark later on Friday afternoon.

Saturday, September 28

The UAE will speak on Saturday, as well Germany, Sweden, Syria, Oman and Bahrain.

Monday, September 30

The last day of the general debate opens with Eritrea and will feature speeches from Saudi Arabia, Thailand, North Korea and Afghanistan.
