LONDON - Earl Spencer, the brother of the late Diana, princess of Wales, is to marry for the third time, a spokesman announced Tuesday.
The earl will tie the knot with Canadian charity boss Karen Gordon on June 18 at Althorp in Northamptonshire, central England, the Spencer family home where Diana is buried.
The spokesman said the couple would have a "private wedding" attended by family and close friends.
Mr Gordon is the founder of the Whole Child International charity.
A godson of Queen Elizabeth II, Earl Spencer is uncle to Princes William and Harry, Diana's two children with Prince Charles, the heir to the throne.
He is expected to attend William's wedding to his fiancee Kate Middleton on April 29 at 's Westminster Abbey in London
The ninth Earl Spencer earned worldwide acclaim for his emotional eulogy at Diana's funeral in Westminster Abbey in 1997 when his attack on the press for hounding his sister set off a wave of applause among the crowds watching on giant screens outside.
He vowed to ensure William and Harry would be brought up in Diana's manner rather than bogged down in "duty and tradition", and pledged to protect them from sharing her fate as a target for paparazzi.
Earl Spencer's first marriage to Victoria Longwood lasted from 1989 to 1997.
He was married to Caroline Hutton from 2001 to 2007. He has three daughters and a son from his first marriage, plus a son and a daughter from his second.
