An India-bound flight taking off from Muscat, Oman turned around shortly after take-off after experiencing a technical issue.

Oman Air said that its flight WY 283 — a Boeing 737-800 — was headed to Bangalore when it experienced a glitch and returned safely to Muscat International Airport.

“The plane took off at 10.25am local time with 154 passengers, including three babies, and six cabin crew,” said a statement released by the airlines on Monday. “Another plane was made available to the passengers, and it took off at 3pm local time.

“Oman Air’s top priority is to secure the safety of its passengers and crew.”
