The gif, cut from footage by Reuter’s Andrew Hofstetter at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, was circulating all over Twitter early this morning. Many celebrities took part in commenting about the look.
Thunberg spoke at the UN's Climate Action Summit on Monday, giving an impassioned speech where she asked world leaders: "How dare you?"
The now famous phrase was also picked up by social media users, and the hashtag #HowDareYou was trending and being used by supporters of Thunberg to echo her words.
One of the many celebrities who chimed in, actor and environment activist Mark Ruffalo tweeted: “He doesn’t have the courage to stop and address this brave young woman.”
