Sheikh Mohammed meets with top US general in the region

Discusses areas of military cooperation with Centcom's General Votel

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces met with General Joseph Votel, the commander of US Central Command, known as Centcom, which is responsible for American military forces in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. According to a tweet on Monday night from Sheikh Mohammed's official Twitter account, they discussed military and defence coordination and cooperation.

General Votel and other senior Centcom leaders also attended a weapons and training demo from UAE special forces, according to a tweet from Centcom yesterday.

On Sunday, General Votel met with Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim.
