Sheikh Mohamed and Saudi Arabia's Prince Khalid discuss defence

They discussed challenges facing Arabian Gulf region and security of GCC countries late on Sunday evening

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met Saudi Prince Khalid bin Salman on Sunday evening to discuss military and defence matters.

The Saudi Deputy Minister of Defence and Sheikh Mohamed discussed "challenges facing the Arabian Gulf, and their implications on the security of GCC countries and peoples and the efforts to address them", state news agency Wam reported.

“The meeting touched on ways to enhance the strong fraternal ties between the UAE and Saudi Arabia in all fields, particularly the strategic co-operation, as well as co-ordination and joint action in defence and military affairs,” Wam said.
