Admirers of Britain's Prince William will get the chance to find out how Kate Middleton felt standing by his side when their engagement was announced, with the help of a life-size model unveiled Monday.

American artist Jennifer Rubell has created the wax model of William, which will be displayed at a London exhibition from Tuesday, ahead of the couple's wedding at Westminster Abbey on April 29.

The model is complete with a replica of Middleton's sapphire and diamond engagement ring -- and would-be royal brides can live out their fairytale fantasy by slipping on the ring and standing arm-in-arm with the prince.

"It's the feminine equivalent of winning the lottery," said Rubell, 40.

"William is a living Prince Charming. When reality offers you a living, breathing human being that occupies a reality that's existed for thousands of years -- that's very attractive."

Rubell, a former food writer from New York, also features in her exhibition five drinks associated with the monarchy and British empire which visitors can sample -- rum, gin, Madeira wine, whisky and sloe gin.

"You can make a toast to the happy couple you've just become," she joked.
