A second man accused of killing an Omani student outside the Harrods department store in London appeared in court after returning to the UK from Egypt.
Arseboon Dilbaro, 22, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody following a hearing on Wednesday.
He was arrested on charges of murdering Mohammed Al Araimi, 20, grievous bodily harm with intent, attempted robbery and threatening a person with a blade in a public place. Mr Dilbaro will next appear in court on Friday.
Al Araimi was allegedly attacked by two men in London's upmarket Knightsbridge district at around midnight on December 5 last year while returning from a restaurant.
Al Araimi, the son of a businessman, was a student at King’s College London who studied politics and economics.
Court documents allege the two suspects were trying to steal a watch worth between £45,000 (Dh207,000) and £125,000 from the student.
A friend of Al Araimi was found injured at the scene and taken to hospital for treatment.
A Kuwaiti man, Badir Alnazi, 24, of no fixed address, was charged in January with the murder of Al Araimi, attempted robbery and possession of a bladed article. He was arrested in London and is in custody.
