Moscow malls and train station evacuated over bomb threats
At least ten shopping malls were evacuated due to the reports
A railway station and 12 shopping malls in Moscow were evacuated on Wednesday after anonymous tip-offs were called in about bomb threats, the RIA news agency reported, citing emergency services.
A spate of such calls in 2017 and this summer during the soccer World Cup proved to be hoaxes.
At least several thousand people were evacuated in total, a source told Russian news agency Tass.
"Operative services have received reports of bomb threats in more than 10 shopping malls. Several thousand people were evacuated from the buildings," the source said.
