Counter-terrorist police arrest woman at Heathrow Airport
Police have arrested a woman at London’s Heathrow Airport on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack.
The British woman, 27, was held as she arrived from Addis Ababa, Ethiopa, said Scotland Yard. She was being questioned at a London police station.
Britain was hit by a series of terrorist attacks in 2017 that left 36 people dead. They included attacks by radicalised Britons using vehicles as weapons.
The biggest attack was in Manchester on May 22 when a suicide bomber targeted a pop concert by Ariana Grande which left 22 people dead and hundreds injured.
