Coronavirus live: UAE reports 1,002 new cases after more than 93,000 further tests
The latest figures also show 942 recoveries and one death overnight
The UAE has recorded a further 1,002 new cases of Covid-19, alongside 942 recoveries and one death.
This comes as Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed, member of the Executive Council, was inoculated with an approved vaccine on Thursday, during a visit to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, tourists can secure visas to travel to the UAE from Thursday, the country's federal immigration service said. The decision means Abu Dhabi and five other emirates will allow visitors back for the first time since March.
Globally, coronavirus cases reached 31.9 million, while the death toll moved past 976,000. About 22 million people have recovered.
