Men’s outfitters Suitsupply marked its long-awaited arrival in the UAE last week, with a glitzy party at the new store in CityWalk, Dubai.

First launched in 2000, the company was established to deliver high-quality menswear at affordable prices. Attuned to male shopping habits, each store is designed as a one-stop shop, with everything from basics to bespoke available under the same roof.

Having both designed and manufactured in-house, the company prides itself on offering an extensive range of belts and shoes, work and weekend wear, and even made-to-measure tuxedos, all in the same location, and at unrivalled prices.

To help customers make the right choice, all floor staff have undergone rigorous training in the difference between cuts, fits and fabrics. An in-store tailor will hem purchases while you wait, and the dedicated bespoke area allows a customer to select the exact cut, collar and weight of fabric for custom-made pieces.

Amid the racks of crisp suits and jackets, we were fortunate enough to get exclusive access to the founder of Suitsupply, Fokke de Jong, and he explained what helps set Suitsupply apart from its competition.

“We design, manufacture and sell within our chain, which is how we can offer this quality at these price points,” he says. “We [work because of] word of mouth. If we have to have a hundred guys who are happy with our products, they will spread the word.”

Suitsupply is now open in CityWalk, Dubai. A pure wool suit from the store costs from Dh1,469.
