ABU DHABI // A construction worker fell to his death this weekend at the New York University-Abu Dhabi campus under construction on Saadiyat Island.
The project is being overseen by Mubadala Development.
"It is with great sadness that Mubadala can confirm the death of a subcontractor at the New York University-Abu Dhabi campus construction site," a statement from Mubadala said. "Mubadala's thoughts are with the family of the deceased and we are working with our partners to provide as much support to them as possible."
The developer said it could not release further information until the worker's family was informed.
The Saadiyat site is closed while the death is under investigation.
