What you can expect to eat at Gulfood in Dubai

Visitors can sample foods from all corners of the globe as the largest food exhibition of its kind proves a big draw

From the finest Japanese Wagyu beef to the best American hot dogs and everything in between — as the largest exhibition of its kind, Gulfood has something for everyone to sample.

Whether deep fried, poached, grilled or dried — meats and delicacies from around the world can be sampled by the thousands of visitors during the week-long exhibition at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Za’abeel Hall 4 has become an unofficial barbecue zone during the festival of food as vendors seized the opportunity to attract new customers by sizzling away a fine selection of South American meat of all cuts and sizes.

Europe is well represented this week with food either ‘Made in France’ with love or passionately hand-crafted in Italy, while the finest mouth-watering German pastries and Greek olive oil is available to try.

Cooking demonstrations from sushi chefs in the Asia zone were a popular attraction, and 20 exhibitors were honoured in the annual Gulfood Innovation Awards, recognised by a panel of international industry experts.

The Emirates Culinary Guild Salon Culinaire tests the skills of entrant cooks, chefs and bakers — challenging them to push the boundaries of modern day food preparation and presentation in a series of live challenges.

Halal World Food was displaying the full spectrum of halal products to help meet demands for regulation within the UAE.
