DUBAI// Weather forecasters have warned that unstable weather will continue through the weekend, after low visibility and heavy rains lashed parts of the country on Friday.
"The clouds are to expand further south of Hatta," said a spokesman from the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology.
"Usually in the last stage of development of the clouds there is a strong downdraft. This causes reduced visibility noticeable in some regions."
The Eastern Region experienced heavy rain Friday afternoon, while areas south of Abu Dhabi city also witnessed unstable weather. Al Fuqaa saw winds traveling at 40km per hour while close to Al Ain wind speed had been accelerated to exceed 50km per hour.
