ABU DHABI // Temperatures are set to drop this weekend but expect high winds to blow up sand and dust, weather forecasters have said.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has warned that active north-westerly winds will whip up sand and dust leading to low visibility on the roads today and tomorrow.
Today, temperatures will start to decrease gradually but "notably", they said.
It will drop further tomorrow with dust still filling the air.
Winds will be active across the coastal areas and in open spaces.
The sea will remain rough until Saturday morning when wind speeds start to slow.
Cloudy skies are expected on Saturday with a rise in humidity throughout the day and early Sunday.
