UAE weather: Temperatures set to shoot up

The mercury is set to rise again with the maximum temperatures climbing to 48C in some areas.

Coastal areas will see lows of 27C and highs of 44C, while the temperature inland is likely to dip to lows of 25C and highs of 48C.

Mountainous areas will experience temperatures ranging from 26C to 40C, according to The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.

On Saturday, coastal areas experienced maximum temperatures around 42C, and mountainous and internal areas between 40C and 41C.

Hazy and partly cloudy conditions persist, with humidity reaching 60-90 per cent in coastal areas, 55-85 per cent inland and 30-50 per cent in the mountains.

Wind speed may reach 40kph in coastal areas, 45kph inland and 48kph in the mountains, which may cause blowing dust and sand.
