Rough weather has been forecast for the next two days with strong winds stirring dust inland and choppy conditions at sea.

Visibility would be reduced to 1,500 metres with an alert for dust storms continuing through Saturday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

The centre had earlier cautioned motorists to reduce speed and keep safe distance from vehicles due to high winds and dust storms.
