Strong winds and blowing dust are creating difficult driving conditions as visibility is reduced by a thick haze across much of the country.

And don’t pack away the raincoats and umbrellas just yet either because rainfall remains likely across much of the Northern Emirates and east coast as the unsettled weather continues on Tuesday.

Outbreaks of rain have been reported across the country in recent days, following a series of cloud-seeding operations that began on Friday.

Cloud cover will keep temperatures down to about 29°C in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with the heaviest showers expected in Fujairah on Tuesday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Blowing dust remains likely in exposed areas and could cause hazardous driving conditions with motorists advised to take extra care in areas of reduced visibility.

Further widespread cloud cover is expected on Wednesday before clearing skies on Thursday, although temperatures are likely to remain unseasonably cool at about 28°C for much of the UAE.
