Rain fell overnight in  parts of the UAE and more is expected on Friday, particularly over the western and southern areas, with cloudy conditions persisting across the country.

Winds will be fresh over the sea and exposed areas causing rough seas and poor visibility less than 2000 metres at times, according to the National Centre for Meteorology.

Forecasters reported light rain over Abu Dhabi International Airport, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Al Dhiad, Ras Ganadah and Al Ain while moderate rain fell over Al Samha.

Sstrong south-westerly winds will continue through Friday morning reaching 40 kph speed over the coast and 38 kph inland.

The temperature in Dubai will range between 22°C to 27°C, in Abu Dhabi from 21°C to 27°C while temperatures along the coast will range between 17°C to 30°C, and 11°C to 22°C in the mountains.

Humidity is likely to increase during night and Saturday morning over some internal areas with a chance of mist formation.

Seas will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate becoming rough in the Sea of Oman due to cloud activity.
