Humidity levels are set to reach 90 per cent on Friday in many parts of the UAE, with the muggy weather set to linger into next week, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

The humidity is forecast to increase during the night on Friday and into Saturday morning with more chances of fog over some internal and coastal northern areas.

Meanwhile, the weather is forecast to be fair to partly cloudy across the UAE, becoming hazy at times.

Winds will be light to moderate in general, freshening at times by noon, while the sea will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea.

Temperatures could hit highs of 37 °C with lows forecast of just 17°C inland and 35°C to 19°C over the coast.
