Hot and sticky weather is forecast for Tuesday as humidity reaches 75 per cent in Dubai this morning, while temperatures are expected to peak at 46°C inland.

Humidity levels are set to reach 85 per cent later on Tuesday in many parts of the UAE, with the pattern set to linger into the week, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Skies are expected to be hazy in general while some clouds are predicted to appear toward the east by afternoon.

Moderate fresh winds, especially over the sea, are expected to cause rough seas and blowing dust over some internal areas.

Temperatures in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are expected to range between a high of 41°C and low of 31°C today, the National Centre of Meteorology said.

Temperatures will range between 26°C to 41°C along the coast and from 23°C to 46°C inland.

People in the Northern Emirates or in mountainous areas can expect temperatures of 26°C to 39°C .

The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf, with waves reaching up to 7ft in height, and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
