Forecasters expect the weather to be very hot inland overt the weekend with temperatures reaching 49°C.

The National Centre of Meteorology warned of poor visibility conditions to less than 2km over some western and southern areas due to a dust storm that could last till 8pm, Friday.

The sky will become cloudy in the east on Saturday and humidity is expected to increase overnight and on Saturday morning. The humidity may cause mist to form inland.

Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, may pick up dust over internal areas of the country.

Temperatures in Abu Dhabi are expected to range between 45°C and 31°C and in Dubai between 42°C to 32°C on Friday.

Temperatures will range between 28°C to 44°C along the coast and from 29°C to 49°C inland.

Residents of the northern emirates and of the mountainous regions can expect cooler conditions with a range of 24°C and 37°C forecast.

The sea will be slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The lowest temperature recorded in the country on Friday morning was 24°C in Damtha at 4.45am.
