UAE weather: Hazy conditions forecast for next two days
Dust, sand to cause low visibility, says meteorology centre
Dust and sand whipped up by winds may reduce visibility in some areas over the next two days.
The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology forecast that cloudy and hazy conditions would add to the heat.
“Moderate winds in general, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand may reduce the horizontal visibility over the exposed areas,” the centre said.
The sea would remain moderate in the Arabian Gulf and could turn rough in the Oman Sea.
The lowest temperature recorded over the country on Tuesday morning was 25.9°C in the Jais mountains.
The temperatures would stay at a maximum of between 44°C and 49°C in interior areas, range between 42°C and 46°C in coastal areas and between 35°C and 39°C in the mountains.
Humidity levels could go up to between 60 to 85 per cent across the coast, 50 to 70 per cent in the interior regions and 30 to 50 per cent in the mountains.
The NCMS said that the highest temperature in the country yesterday was 51.2°C in Mezaira.
