UAE weather: Hazy but hot as temperatures push 42°C

The country’s highest temperature of 43.1°C was recorded in the Owtaid area on Sunday.

Dubai // Today will be hazy and partly cloudy, with the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology predicting at least two more days of fog in some areas.

The weather bureau said the chance of towering clouds associated with fresh winds and blowing dust would reduce visibility in some areas.

Conditions will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf, but it will be rough in the Sea of Oman in the afternoon.

Temperatures will reach 42°C in internal areas with a low of 16°C in the mountains.

Maximum humidity will range between 70 and 95 per cent across coastal regions, 70 and 90 per cent in internal areas, and 40 to 60 per cent in the mountains.

Humid conditions will continue in the coastal areas over the next two days.
